Media ‘de Gala is the annual event of NMG which includes various media-related competitions; short films, ad mad, graphic designing, photo essay, Punjabi dubbing, speed texting and console based gaming. If you have the talent and the craze, you would never want to be left behind while these exhilarating competitions are being arranged. This is the event which can help you get creative. It is an event which can make you work with your brains and have fun as well. Short Films Competition:
Camera! Action! Cut!
Watching movies is a common hobby amongst the youngsters. If you love to watch films, then you will surely love to make one too. You just need to come up with some brilliant creative ideas and use them to make a short film. So grab your camera and set yourself for a competition which will definitely give you an amazing opportunity to take an initial step towards becoming a film maker.
Participants will submit their short films / documentaries which may be based on any of a wide range of issues. Projects that are based on social issues that affect the country will be encouraged so that these are brought to the forefront in the public eye; duration of each work not exceeding 15 minutes.
Film Type Time Limit:
- Short Film 2 – 15 minutes
- Animation 2 – 15 minutes
- Documentary 5 – 40 minutes
There are no specific topics.You may go for multiple entries provided each entry must be accompanied by a separate registration form.
We will be accepting submissions on DVDs in the following formats:
.MPG (MPEG or MPEG2),.WMV (Windows Media),.AVI (Audio-Video Interleaved)
There is no limit for the number of team/group members. You can register as a group as well as an individual. It is not completely necessary to include all your cast in the registration, but ultimately it is for you to decide.

Graphic Designing Competition:
Do you have an interest in stuff like photos, illustrations, shapes, colors and textures? Yes, and if you have skills and ample knowledge regarding the graphics, then this competition gives you a mystifying chance to present your ideas in a beautiful and influential way.
Participants would be provided an on-the-spot theme on which they would have to design a Poster for brand in the specified amount of time to show their creative skills. Participants would be provided Photoshop as the designing software.
This is an individual competition.

Photo Essay:
Is taking photographs a hobby for you? Take part in the photo essay competition and allow yourself to test the potential you possess. Use your brains and have fun while taking photographs to create an astounding story.
Participants will be provided an on-the-spot theme, and a limited amount of time to capture a series of 5-8 photographs, depicting a story behind them.You can participate as an individual or as a team of two individuals.

Console Based Gaming:
Now this is more of a guy thing. But anyone can jump into this adventure. Those of you who consider playstation and Xbox as an important part of their lives, they can utilize this chance to show their awing gaming skills.
FIFA 12(1v1) and Tekken 6(1v1) competitions will be held and the console used for this purpose will be Xbox 360.

Ad Mad:
Advertisements are played on every channel, every time. So you must be familiar with innumerable brands and the commercials associated with them. You can use your newfangled ideas and get original to win this exciting competition named as Ad Mad.
Participants will be given a brand on the spot ,and in a limited amount of time ,they will have to make an effective advertisement for that brand.Ads will not exceed more than 1 minute.
This is a team competition.You can register as a team of 2-4 individuals.

Punjaabi Dubbing:
“I am from Punjab and punjaabi is my language”. Many of you may love to speak punjaabi. If you think you have a good control over this intricate language, then come forward and grab the golden opportunity to show the passion for the language you adore.
Participants will be given a clip and they will have to dub it in Punjabi.
This is a team competition.You can register as a team of 2-4 individuals.
